Since leaving Everton for Tottenham Hotspur in 2022, Richarlison’s journey has undoubtedly been difficult. One of his old clubs now wishes to assist in reviving his career.
The forward became an essential player for the club and the nation while he was with the Blues. At a period when the squad was struggling, Richarlison was a reliable goal scorer and a major fan favorite at Goodison Park.
In order to strengthen their financial status and better comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, Everton eventually had to sell the Brazilian. He was acquired by Spurs for £60 million.
But Richarlison’s time in the city has been marred thus far by injury problems and form swings. Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou indicated that the 27-year-old would now be sidelined for the “long-term” due to a hamstring issue after missing two months of the current campaign already because of a groin issue.
In addition, Postecoglou disclosed that Spurs will be seeking to add another forward as a result, which may raise questions about Richarlison’s future with the team.
According to rumors in Brazil, Fluminense, who sold Richarlison to Watford in 2017, intended to bring him back to his native country after having connections to Saudi Pro League clubs in the summer. Mario Bittencourt, the club’s president, acknowledged the genuine interest in an interview with Globo Esporte (via Sport Witness).
